The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Its hard to believe but its that time of year again, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year when all the magic appears. I just love the Magic of the Season. The Christmas lights that twinkle and add so much warmth to any space in your home. The magical colors of the season which can include so many different choices. Of course you have the traditional red and white and green but these days there is so much more. There is navy blue which can look amazing for Christmas and this year one of my favorites is cream and sage green. I have these adorable bowl filler trees this year which are the perfect choice to follow through out the entire room. You can add some red in there as well. Another favorite this year is the grays, gray buffalo plaid with a mix or different shades of gray and white, very pretty. And last but not least a new favorite is brown buffalo plaid which we carry in pillows, dish towels, ribbon for the tree and runners. So many choices. Which theme are you thinking of going with this year? I love to change things up from year to year and I am definately going with the sage green, cream and some red. I plan on decorating right after Halloween passes so I will be sure to keep you updated on our Facebook page.

The season isn't all about the decorating though its about giving. Its one of my favorite things to try and find that perfect gift for the people I love the most. I love everything from the pondering to the shopping to the wrapping it with that very special bow every year. I love to see their faces when they open things that I thought they would love so much. And with the grandkids it just gets better and better. We have a 4, 5 , 8 and 10  year old and it is a great mix for getting all those emotions and love in abundance. The pure magic in their eyes and the wonder about how it all works it so special. The baking, and cooking are many of my most special memories. Some of my fondest memories as a child where baking the Pulla with my Ma. My little ones look forward to the Santa breakfast that we take them to every year at Matches Tavern at Lake of Isles. They have gone since they were babies and they all love that morning. So its not just about Christmas Morning or Day is about the whole season and all the special memories that you can create in those two months leading up. It flies by but if you just pause and take it all in you can create some of the most magical memories for your little ones and your whole family.

The way Our Home feels at this time of year cannot compare to any other. The warmth of the fireplace, the mantle glowing with greenery and Christmas lights, the magic of the Christmas Trees, the outside lights and decorations and just the little touches of Christmas throughout every space in our home make me feel so at peace.

May this Season bring you peace.
